Organizing Life: Through + After Divorce Workshop

1pm EST
October 7th, 2024

Are you ready to feel more empowered, and equipped with practical tips and tricks to assist you through a life transition?

Divorce – even when it feels like the right and absolutely necessary thing to do - it turns your life upside down and can leave you feeling wildly out of control. Though I rarely talk about it publicly, that’s precisely what happened to me when I left my ex and divorced a decade ago. However,  what I also learned is that because divorce is so disruptive, organizing can become a lifeline.

As the life I had carefully built fell apart and I began the process of putting a new one together, I realized that everything I knew about organizing – as the founder of Rachel & Co – could help ground and guide me on this unexpected, destabilizing and scary journey.  And sure enough it did – providing order, both in my home and my heart – in a chaotic world.

Of course I was still suffering and struggling, as were my twins, but by applying the essential principles and practices of organizing, I was better able to find my bearings.

So that’s exactly what I want to help you do, whether you're currently navigating divorce, adjusting to life afterward, or supporting someone through this painful process.

We will cover practical organizing strategies you can apply to many aspects of your life including:

01

Legal matters

02

Schedules

03

Physical Spaces

04

Time: Kids splitting time between two different homes + Scheduling self care

05

Decluttering marital items

06

Digital items

Throughout the workshop, we’ll keep the larger emotional context surrounding divorce in mind, recognizing the challenges of being and feeling organized while working through grief, loss, hope and hopelessness and constant change.

Divorce can be a tumultuous journey, but organizing can be your anchor.
